Broadband TV News: Major agreement between TVN Warner Bros. Discovery and Vectra

Story from Broadband TV News:

Poland’s leading broadcaster and cable operator have signed a new long-term cooperation agreement.

The new agreement gives Vectra subscribers access to the full programming offer from the TVN Warner Bros. Discovery group, including channels from the broadcaster’s portfolio – both in the linear and OTT models, and solutions and permissions for dynamic advertising replacement (DAI). There is also carriage on Vectra’s mobile app.

“The extension of cooperation with Vectra – our long-term and trusted partner – is great news for the operator’s subscribers,” says Dorota Żurkowska, Group Senior Vice President Revenue at TVN Warner Bros. Discovery. “In the coming years, they will be able to use the full spectrum and richness of our content: from the latest news on TVN24 and CNN International, through fascinating automotive or travel programs on TVN Turbo and Discovery Channel, nature documentaries on Animal Planet, entertainment for the youngest on Cartoon Network and Cartoonito, to inspiring programs about decorating a home on HGTV and culinary programs on Food Network. Vectra subscribers and their loved ones will always find something for themselves within our portfolio – regardless of age or interests. This is an offer that meets the diverse needs of entire families,”

An important part of the agreement is also the comprehensive promotional cooperation between the broadcaster and the operator. TVN Warner Bros. Discovery and Vectra will jointly implement marketing activities to ensure the best possible visibility and accessibility of content for viewers.

“This is certainly a very important agreement for us. It fully and very measurably fits into the strategy of providing viewers with diverse and consistently rich entertainment –available both at home, on the TV, but also in any other place on a tablet or smartphone,” says Tomasz Żurański, Member of the Supervisory Board of Vectra SA.

TVN 7, TVN Fabuła, Metro and TTV will now be included as part of Vectra’s OTT offer, while the channels will also benefit for more favourable positions on the EPG.
