Adam Stotsky, a former longtime NBCUniversal exec and president of Dick Clark Productions, has been installed as CEO of Vice Media.The selection is the latest move by Vice since it changed ownership after a bankruptcy in 2023. As Stotsky arrives, former CEO Bruce Dixon is departing the company.Stotsky begins his new post Monday, reporting to Michael Lang, Executive Chairman of Vice Media and President of Lang Media Group.The appointment of Stotsky follows that of former Amazon and Paramount Television executive Amy Powell joining the company as President of VICE Studios.The Vice portfolio includes the studio arm, Vice Sports (including a cable TV network with 40 million subscribers), Vice Commercials, Vice News, and advertising agency Virtue.Lang called Stotsky “a seasoned operator with deep brand expertise across television, sports and media. He is the perfect executive to lead Vice for our next phase of growth.” Of Dixon, Lang added, “The Board and I want to thank Bruce for all his efforts to streamline the company, achieve profitability and better position us for future growth. We wish Bruce continued success in his next chapter.”Stotsky thanked Lang and Vice’s board for the opportunity. “I look forward to building the company and the Vice brand during a time of rapid change and consolidation in the media and entertainment sector,” he said.At NBCU, Stotsky was president of E! Entertainment and Esquire Network and also had a stint as Chief Marketing Officer of NBC Entertainment. At Dick Clark Productions, he shepherded the company’s production efforts ahead of its sale to Deadline parent Penske Media Corp.Stotsky also was president of Religion of Sports, leading its operational and business strategy as it raised a $50 million equity round.
