Lionsgate has promoted Taylor du Pont to head of television post production as Bobby Williams retires after 23 years at the studio.
Du Pont will oversee post production on Lionsgate’s slate of scripted series, including ABC’s The Rookie, now in its eighth season, MGM+’s Robin Hood and The Rainmaker for USA Network.“Taylor is a rising star within our Television Group, and she brings strong post production experience and expertise to her new role,” Lionsgate Television Group chair and chief creative officer Kevin Beggs and vice chairman Sandra Stern said in a joint statement.“We want to extend our gratitude to Bobby for his 23 years of valuable and distinguished service to the company, shepherding our most iconic television series through post-production,” they added. An eight year veteran at Lionsgate, du Pont most recently was director of TV post production and shepherded series like the Seth Rogen comedy The Studio for Apple TV+, Home Economics for ABC, and Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist for NBC.She also worked on the iconic Orange is the New Black drama for Netflix. Williams has served as executive vp and head of TV post production a Television Group slate at Lionsgate that included Mad Men, Orange Is the New Black, Weeds, Nurse Jackie, Nashville and the Power franchise.He also oversaw the integration of the TV physical production and post production units of Lionsgate and Starz after their merger in 2019. More recent credits for Williams include Mythic Quest, Acapulco, The Rainmaker, and the John Wick prequel, The Continental.
