Deadline: Harley Copen Transitions To Management At 3 Arts Entertainment

20-year motion picture agent Harley Copen is making a transition into management, moving from CAA to 3 Arts Entertainment.

At CAA, Copen represented a diverse array of artists across film and television, including Patrick Aison, Scott Beck & Bryan Woods, Neill Blomkamp, Ian Brennan, Taffy Brodesser-Akner, Lauren Iungerich, Greg Jardin, Jenny Lumet, Regina King, Ana Nogueira, Jack Paglen, Noah Oppenheim, Matthew Robinson, Burk Sharpless & Matt Sazama, Dan Trachtenberg, Sam Wrench, Greg Yaitanes, and many others.

Copen came to CAA following the agency’s $750 million acquisition of ICM Partners, where he was a Partner and Co-Head of Motion Picture Literary. He began his career at Broder Webb Chervin Silbermann in 2001.

“I am eternally grateful for my time at CAA and cannot wait to work with my friends at 3 Arts,” Copen said in a statement to Deadline. “I am so proud of the many artist’s careers in which we have made a positive impact, and look forward to joining the extraordinary company that 3 Arts has built.”

Management and production company 3 Arts exec produces the Golden Globe and Emmy-winning Hacks and has also been backed numerous hit Netflix projects, from Blue Eye Samurai to Running Point and Nobody Wants This, while managing a high-profile client roster. The company has a substantial legacy in comedy, having previously backed projects like The Office, Parks & Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and the Oscar-winning American Fiction.
