Story from C21 Media:

LA-based A+E Studios, the studio arm of A+E Global Media, has hired Jessie Abbott as VP of creative affairs.

Abbott joins A+E Studios from Kapital Entertainment, where she most recently served as VP of current and development, overseeing series including Black Cake (Hulu), Shining Vale (Starz), Women of the Movement (ABC), Pivoting (Fox), A Million Little Things (ABC), The Unicorn (CBS) and Tell Me a Story (CBS All Access).

Abbott spent a decade at Kapital, working her way up from assistant to VP before her departure. She began her career as an assistant in the television literary department at The Gersh.

“Jessie’s track record of championing distinctive voices and delivering compelling, high-quality programming speaks for itself,” said Tana Jamieson, co-head and exec VP of creative affairs at A+E Studios.

“Her ability to nurture projects from inception to premiere, coupled with her deep industry relationships, will be an invaluable asset to our growing slate. We are thrilled to welcome her to the team.”
