French commercial channel M6 has extended its streaming service to connected televisions receiving DTT, with a little help from HbbTV technology.M6+ will be accessible via the M6, W9 and 6ter channels and will provide free access to the entire program catalogue, currently close to 30,000 hours of content.Compatible with HbbTV 2.0 televisions (post-2021), the service is now available on LG connected TVs and will reach 85% of the compatible television set base by the end of 2025.M6 Group is the first commercial broadcaster to launch an AVOD platform via HbbTV, which it sees as extending the attractiveness of the DTT, for the benefit of the public.M6+ is also available on iOS, Android, the web (m6.fr), and from partners Orange, SFR, Bouygues Telecom, Free, Canal, Molotov, as well as on connected TVs Samsung, LG, Apple TV, Fire TV, Philips, and Hisense.
