Israeli pay-TV platform Yes is looking to continued a limited satellite service beyond the proposed date of February 2026.The company’s agreement with satellite operator Spacecom ends at the beginning of 2026, but in a statement the Yes said it is now examining “the continuation of limited and focused satellite broadcasts for relevant audiences, including institutional customers.”The company believes that the continuation of a limited satellite services will allow it to both save tens of millions of shekels per year on the cost of satellite broadcasts, while spreading its migration investments over a longer period.At present, more than 83% of all yes subscribers use yes+ and STING+ OTT services, some in conjunction with satellite services.
