Broadband TV News: Canal+ commemorates 40th anniversary with (almost) true story

Canal+ has created a new promotional film that tells the story of the pay-TV operator in the guise of a trailer of a non-existent TV series.

The promo takes viewers through the beginnings of France’s first pay-TV channel that debuted at 8 o’clock on Sunday, November 4, 1984. At the time the French television landscape comprised just three channels.

A long format (2 minutes) will be broadcast on Canal branded channels and available for PR purposes. A long format (1min50s) as well as two short formats (30s and 40s) was broadcast across a range of linear channels yesterday (Sunday) as will be see in cinemas from November 13 to 26.
