Broadband TV News: 1+1 Media introduces international Ukrainian FAST channel app

Story from Broadband TV News:

Ukrainian media company 1+1 Media has launched a new FAST channel app that feature FAST channels created for an international audience.

1+1 Worldwide provides round-the-clock access to thematic FAST channels 1+1 News and 1+1 Travel in English and Spanish.

“Difficult times encourage us to look for new solutions in interaction with the audience and platforms through which we can communicate with them. Having a large amount of unique, high-quality content that is important for the world in the context of a full-scale invasion, we were looking for ways to distribute it to benefit both the company and the country,” says Oleksandr Remezovsky, Head of International Distribution at 1+1 Media. “Therefore, 1+1 Worldwide is an ambitious project with a powerful goal – introducing Ukrainian culture, identity, and views to the English- and Spanish-speaking worlds through content. There is a great demand for this, so we hope everything will work out.”

1+1 News is a TV channel featuring documentaries about Ukraine, debunking historical myths about the country, reports from military officers about current events from the frontline and interviews with influential people and politicians. The channel’s content is partially dubbed or produced in English, while the rest will be broadcast with English subtitles. In addition, the channel will air topical news of the day every two hours, as well as evening news summaries and a weekly newscast on Mondays, providing an up-to-date selection of news from Ukraine and the world.

1+1 Travel is a TV channel that will allow viewers to travel to the most remote parts of the world, get acquainted with unknown, sometimes fantastic traditions and rituals, and live incredible adventures through the screen of their gadgets. The channel will feature host and author Dmytro Komarov, one of Ukrainian TV’s stand-out personalities. The channel will broadcast in Spanish with an option to turn on English subtitles.

The channels can be watched on ROKU and Smart TV devices. There are also plans to make the channel available via Google Play and Apple.
