The rebrand at the international broadcaster will see A+E’s international division divided into four units: Hearst Networks UK, A+E’s long-standing joint venture with Sky operating across the UK, Nordics, Benelux, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; Hearst Networks Germany; Hearst Networks Italia, and Cosmo Spain.Each division will be wholly owned by Hearst, which operates A+E Networks in the U.S. as a joint venture with Disney.“We are proud to unveil our new company name as we continue to provide the best in quality factual entertainment and share important stories with audiences throughout EMEA,” said Dean Possenniskie, Managing Director at Hearst Networks EMEA. “We look forward to building on our success at Hearst and shaping a positive future for all our premium services.”Networks within the EMEA group include The History Channel, Crime + Investigation, with Blaze operating in the UK and Cosmo broadcasting in Spain. Overall, it has 29 linear channels and 20 SVOD services.
