Broadband TV News: Bosnia and Herzegovina finally ready to complete DTT project

Story from Broadband TV News:

An addendum has been signed to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s €13.3 million digitisation project confirming OIV and Nimbus Innovations as the principal contractors.

An initial contract for the rollout of DTT using DVB-T2 was signed earlier this year that has reignited a project that has been stalled for the best part of the decade.

The first phase was completed in 2016 and OIV now has the authorisation to proceed with the second and third phase.

On completion of the second phase later this year it is anticipated that the majority of the country will be able to receive a digital signal terrestrially. The remainder will come on line by the middle of 2025.

Edin Forto, Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, expressed his satisfaction that a solution was found allowing the continuation of the RTV Signal Digitalisation Project, given that Bosnia and Herzegovina remains the last country in Europe to offer a DTT signal.

Icareus’ Playout EPG Platform will be used to manage the PSI/SI and EPG for the entire network.
