Broadband TV News: Netgem and Okast join forces for distribution of FAST channels

Story from Broadband TV News:

Netgem has signed a partnership agreement with Okast to integrate its FAST ‘FAST Lane’ channel aggregation service.

This new collaboration is a key aspect of Okast’s European FAST4EU strategy to build a European network for the FAST market. Okast intends to expand its range of channels to provide tailored content to local viewers in each region, showcasing the richness and excellence of European programming that aligns with their preferences and cultural identity.

At the same time, Netgem is adding more than 150 channels to its catalogue for French-speaking territories. FAST Lane by Netgem now offers iconic channels from the Mediawan Group (Malibu Alert, Génération Sitcom, Les Filles d’à Côté), Alshana (Passion Bollywood) and Netradio Broadcast (NetRadio Vision, Chic TV), delivered directly to the TV and mobile application user interfaces of its operator partners.

Mathias Hautefort, President of Netgem France, said: “As part of our ongoing efforts to offer the best entertainment to our Operator partners in Europe and beyond, we are pleased to extend our “FAST Lane” partnerships to OKAST to broaden our offering of FAST channels.”

Cédric Monnier, CEO, Co-founder Okast, added: “We are delighted with our partnership with Netgem, which allows us to extend the distribution of our FAST channels to a wider audience thanks to their strong presence with operators. By opening up to new platforms beyond TV OS and connected TVs, we are giving our channels access to a wider and highly qualified audience, helping to promote our European culture.”
