Liberty Global reported a small increase in revenues as price increases were able to compensate for falling subscriber levels.VodafoneZiggo saw 27,400 broadband customers depart as customer numbers slipped to 3.4 million from 3.6 million just a year ago.The number of convergent customers (fixed and mobile) decreased by 10,000, while fixed line telephony becomes a declining business, 55,000 customers cancelled their fixed line in the second quarter.It was a similar story for Virgin Media, which lost 13,600 cable customers.Across the company there was a subscriber loss of 38,000 on the year.But revenues increased 1.4% year-on-year.Liberty Global says it is building value for its shareholders, spinning off its Swiss business Sunrise, and creating a new mobile sharing agreement in the UK.
