Broadband TV News: Vectra to carry Eurosport Olympic pop-up channels

Eurosport’s Olympic pop-up channels will be available to subscribers of the Polish operator Vectra.

Eurosport’s seven HD and one 4K pop-up channel will provide sports enthusiasts with the opportunity to follow more than 830 hours of coverage from Paris in the best picture and sound quality.

“The upcoming Olympic Games in Paris are generating increasing interest among Polish audiences. Only with us – on the channels and platforms of Warner Bros. Discovery in Poland – it will be possible to see every second of the event. We are very pleased that this group is expanding to include Vectra customers,” said Dorota ?urkowska, Group Senior Vice President – Revenue, Warner Bros. Discovery in Poland.

The channels will be available for the duration of the Paris Games between 26 July and 11 August.

“It is the holiday season, so we are giving our customers full flexibility – the Olympic Games on Vectra will be available to watch both at home and away from home, on smart phones, tablets and also as part of our OTT offer, which can be used by those with any Internet connection,” – adds Krzysztof Sokolik, Marketing Director and Member of the Management Board of Vectra Group.

On Eurosport’s pop-up channels, viewers will have access to broadcasts of a variety of sports such as tennis, football, basketball, combat sports, handball, volleyball and golf. Warner Bros. On Vectra, they will be available in packages including Eurosport 1 – at home and away from home on the Vectra network, and for the first time for those living outside the operator’s cable infrastructure, thanks to the Smart TV service, which can be purchased by anyone, regardless of where they live.
