Broadband TV News: Eurosport’s Olympic pop-up available on INEA

Customers on Poland’s INEA network will benefit from eight pop-up channels being run by Eurosport for the duration of the Olympic Games.

An agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery will allow INEA to offer seven extra channels in HD quality and one 4K. Sports available on Eurosport channels will include tennis, football, basketball, martial arts, handball, volleyball and golf. Warner Bros. Discovery styles itself as the “Home of the Olympics” in Europe – the group’s platforms remain the only place where every moment of the most important sports event in 2024 will be available.

“By joining the INEA offer of pop-up channels that will broadcast the Olympic Games, even more viewers across Poland will be able to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere that accompanies the biggest sport festival,” said Dorota ?urkowska, Group Senior Vice President – Revenue, Warner Bros. Discovery in Poland.

“We are pleased to announce today that thanks to the conclusion of the contract with Warner Bros. Discovery, current and future INEA customers, will have free access to eight occasional Eurosport channels – seven in HD quality and one 4K, which will be entirely dedicated to broadcasts from the Olympic Games in Paris. This only confirms that INEA guarantees the highest quality in its rich offer, and puts the customer’s needs in the center of attention,” added Maciej Piechocinski, President of the Management Board of INEA.

Viewers can also expect over 200 hours of coverage of the Paris Olympic Games in 4K quality, including:opening andclosing ceremonies, athletics (67 hours), volleyball (32 hours), swimming (28 hours), cycling / track cycling (19 hours), judo (14 hours) and gymnastics (14 hours).
