Swedish telco Telia has announced write-downs of SEK 4.1 billion (€360 million) including a SEK 0.9 billion charge on its TV & Media business.In a statement, Telia said the write-downs came because of changed investment plans, market conditions and regulations.Reports in the Swedish media suggests Telia has begun the process of selling TV4, the commercial TV channel it purchased for SEK 10 billion in 2019. The proposed purchase price is said to be less than SEK 5 billion, according to Affärsvärlden, the price is potentially as low as SEK 3-4 billion.Exploratory talks have been held with including Schibsted, Egmont, and Bonnier, which sold the business to Telia in 2019.Telia’s latest financial statements are due to be published on Friday.
