Deadline: CNN Names Kyung Lah To Investigations Team, Ryan Young To Senior National Correspondent

Kyung Lah has been named senior investigative correspondent at CNN, joining the network’s investigative team.

Lah has served as senior national correspondent, covering the 2024 presidential campaign.

The network also named Ryan Young as senior national correspondent, based in the network’s Atlanta bureau. He’ll report on law enforcement and on other news stories across the country.

In her previous role, Lah reported extensively on disinformation surrounding the 2020 presidential election, as well as state-level efforts to authorize the results. She covered the 2020 presidential race and the impact of the Covid pandemic on American families. She previously was Tokyo correspondent for the network, and served as national correspondent for CNN Newssource in Washington, D.C. She is currently based in Los Angeles.

Young has reported on stories including the expulsion of the two Democratic members of the Tennessee statehouse after they called for gun control after a mass shooting in the state. He also reported from Mississippi on a series of police reforms after deputies and an officer pleaded guilty to torturing two Black men. He joined the network in 2015 and recently served as CNN’s national correspondent.
