German cable operator association Deutsche Netzmarketing (DNMG) is bringing the new TV channel DF1 to its members’ networks.A long-term framework agreement, which both parties signed, secures the cable carriage. The free TV channel, which launched on January 1, 2024, will be distributed by the more than 200 cable network operators organised in DNMG.“We are delighted to be able to offer our network operators and their customers DF1’s innovative entertainment concept with immediate effect. With the launch of the channel, we reach well over two million households through distribution on the networks of the DNMG operators,” said Damian Lohmann, Senior Manager Partner Relations at DNMG.“The partnership with DNMG enables us to conclude agreements with up to 200 DNMG network operators for the free-TV distribution of DF1 in one go. This brings us very close to achieving nationwide distribution on German cable in a very uncomplicated way. Our joint goal is to reach all households throughout Germany with DF1,” said David Müller, Managing Director of parent company DF1 Medien.
