The company behind Virgin Media O2 and VodafoneZiggo has offered voluntary redundancy to several hundred of its employees.Liberty Global, which also has an interest in Switzerland’s Sunrise, has written to approximately 800 of its 1,900 employees.The redundancies were confirmed by Liberty Global in a statement released to Broadband TV News: “We’re reshaping our internal structure so that our operating model is positioned for future growth and long-term success. This isn’t about cost-cutting; it’s about being agile, competitive, and aligned with the evolving needs of our customers and markets.”It’s anticipated the job losses will affect staff in London, Denver, and Amsterdam.The Financial Times, which also reported on the story, said Liberty was also planning to sell one of two Dassault Falcon jets owned by the company.
