Hollywood Reporter: Ari Emanuel Officially Becomes a Billionaire

Story from Hollywood Reporter:

Ari Emanuel is officially a billionaire.

The Hollywood titan and CEO of entertainment and media agency giant Endeavor has seen his net worth soar over the last 12 months as bets on WWE and UFC have paid off handsomely. Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index anointed Emanuel as part of the rarefied club of the super rich, owing in large part to his holdings in Endeavor, which has enjoyed a 48 percent rise in its share price in the last year, according to Bloomberg.

Endeavor’s gains have been underpinned by a majority stake in TKO Group Holdings Inc., the parent company of WWE and UFC. TKO, of which Emanuel is also the CEO, has nearly doubled in value in the past 12 months.

Despite a complicated relationship with founder Vince McMahon, WWE has gone from strength to strength in recent years, securing a whopping $5 billion international streaming rights deal with Netflix for its marquee TV product Monday Night Raw and its crown jewel events like Wrestlemania.

Likewise, UFC is enjoying a level of popularity and culturally relevancy it has never reached before, with UFC CEO Dana White close to President Donald Trump and the company leveling up its events to be held at world class venues like Las Vegas’ The Sphere.

A vivid indication of Emanuel’s current wealth and clout has been his recent involvement with a bid to take over artificial intelligence unicorn OpenAI. Emanuel was among a group of investors led by Elon Musk that made an unsolicited $97.4 billion bid for the group behind the ChatGPT service.
