Paramount+ is launching a service in Turkey with beIN Media Group, bringing movies including Transformer: Rise of the Beasts and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning and series The Agency, Elsbeth and the NCIS franchise.Paramount Global Content Distribution cut the deal with beIN, which will see the rollout of what it refers to as branded destination in Turkey. Specifically, the Paramount+ service will be carried on beIN’s OTT platforms TOD and beIN Connect.It will have films from Paramount Pictures and Republic Pictures, series from CBS Studios, and premium dramas from Showtime. The news dropped at the London TV Screenings, where Paramount Global is rolling out the red carpet for buyers, today.Paramount and beIN have already teamed on a Paramount+ destination that is carried in the MENA region and was announced last year. Dan Cohen, Chief Content Licensing Officer, Paramount and President, Republic Pictures, said beIN is a valued partner and this latest deal deepens the relationship between studio and pay-TV operator.Paramount Global has shifted focus from launching standalone direct-to-consumer Paramount+ services internationally, to working with pay TV platforms to roll out branded hubs that sit within those operators’ services.“Our Paramount+ branded destinations have consistently proven to meet the demand among streaming consumers for high-quality entertainment as well as attract new subscribers to respective platforms, offering users new avenues to access our acclaimed content,” Cohen said.Esra Özaral Altop, Chief Entertainment Content Officer, beIN Media Group, added the deal is a significant step in the company’s plan to offer big-ticket films and series right across the region in which it operates. “With special access to Paramount’s outstanding content library, we are enhancing the entire beIN offer, with an unmatched selection of movies, series, and entertainment,” she said.
