Mediapro is to launch a dedicated channel that will offer fans all 104 matches from the 2026 World Cup in Spain.The company has agreed a sublicensing deal with public broadcaster RTVE for the matches – 71 of them exclusively. The GolStadium will then be made available to Spanish pay-TV operators.It will follow a similar model to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with Gol Mundial.FIFA has made a number of changes to the format of the 2026 World Cup, which will be the longest in history.48 national teams – compared to 32 in previous editions – will compete across three host nations: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. From 11 June to 19 July 2026, matches will be played in 11 US cities, three in Mexico, and two in Canada, totalling 104 matches in all.Spain has been drawn into Group E in UEFA’s qualifying phase for the 2026 World Cup, alongside Turkey, Georgia, and Bulgaria. In the qualifying phase, the top team in each group will earn a direct place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
