Advanced Television: RTL AdAlliance expands SME business to Austria

Story from Advanced Television:

The SME Unit of RTL AdAlliance, the international sales house of RTL Group, specialises in enabling TV advertising for the SME sector in Germany. RTL AdAlliance is now taking a decisive step by internationalising the SME Unit’s ATV offer. ATV for SMEs is introduced into the Austrian advertising market with the full-service marketing agency heise regioconcept, as its first co-selling partner in Austria.

The self-booking tool lets heise regioconcept implement ATV campaigns for its customers in three simple steps: They can easily create advertising materials using the integrated Ad Studio and receive an extensive insight into campaign performance, progress and user management using an intuitive dashboard. This is complemented by prognosis and reporting tools, making planning and evaluating advertising tactics for SMEs straightforward.

Traditional TV campaigns previously rarely featured in the media plans of most regional businesses, ATV advertising is making TV advertising more accessible. It offers mid-market enterprises with a low, four-digit booking budget the possibility to increase their local awareness and become more renown in their industry. Addressable advertising is delivered on a postcode basis and using socio-demographic characteristics.

This is a signifcant step in Austria: SMEs make up 99.7 per cent of all companies and contribute 55.6 per cent to the overall economy. With the new self-booking tool, small and medium-sized businesses now have the opportunity to leverage the potential of TV advertising and increase their brand awareness with precise targeting.

Fabian Burgey (pictured), Director SME Business Europe, RTL AdAlliance, said: “With the expansion to Austria we are taking our many years of experience with SMEs across the border in order to help small and medium-sized businesses to promote themselves on the Big Screen for a small budget, using automated ATV advertising. SMEs finally have the opportunity to be a part of the TV advertising market, presenting themselves in premium environments – creating a strong impact and leveraging excellent branding opportunities.”

Elisabeth Frank, Director Multichannel Sales Austria, RTL AdAlliance, commented: “We are lowering the threshold for SMEs in Austria that have previously been discouraged by the complexity and cost of TV advertising. Together with heise regioconcept as the first distribution partner for our self-booking tool, we are making TV advertising on popular Austrian channels accessible to a new target group. At the same time, we are open for further cooperations with more co-selling partners in order to increase the availability of our offer.”

Oliver Schmiedel, Head of Products, heise regioconcept, added: “We are excited to be the first partner of RTL AdAlliance in Austria to offer addressable TV for SMEs. Our customers are very satisfied: strong reach and precise targeting finally make TV affordable – and with RTL AdAlliance as our best partner, we are committed to ensure the highest quality and absolute reliability.“
