Broadband TV News: Ziggo offers customers UHD access to Euro 2024

Dutch TV platform Ziggo says all of its customers will be able to watch the European Football Championships from the first game on June 14 in Ultra-HD (UHD).

The operator will pass on the public service channel NPO 1. It has previously the 2022 World Cup in UHD.

Last Tuesday, Ziggo became the first provider in the country top offer the updated NOS Live app on its the Mediabox Next or Next Mini.

The public service app sits alongside apps including Netflix, Videoland and NPO Start.

The app offers multiple full-fledged live streams at the same time, so sports enthusiasts can choose which sport they see. During the Olympic Games, the NOS is offering one additional channel via the NOS Live app.
