Broadband TV News: Localised kids content from Warner Bros. in Lithuania

Story from Broadband TV News:

Telia and Warner Bros. Discovery have announced they’re begun providing fully localised kids VOD content to customers in Lithuania.

The partnership includes Cartoon Network and Cartoonito titles and marks the first time that Warner Bros. Discovery has offered kids’ content on Telia Play that is fully localised in the Lithuanian language.

Slavena Dimova, Distribution Manager for NEE & EMEA, said: “We are delighted to provide our young viewers with the opportunity to enjoy some of their all-time favourite shows such as Baby Looney Tunes, The Tom & Jerry Show and Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? in their native language.”

The linear versions of Cartoon Network and Cartonitoo will continue to be carried on the Telia platform.

In addition to the channel’s distribution, this new deal offers younger audiences and their families an opportunity to enjoy quality kids’ content in their native language and the freedom to choose when to watch it.

Vitalija Kibilde, Head of TV Business Lithuania, said Telia was continuing to develop the Telia Play+ library which includes films, series, original content, and animation. “This partnership not only expands our content library but also allows us to suggest high-quality, unique, and engaging content for our youngest viewers. Providing such content is one of the top priorities for Telia Play, and we believe this collaboration will enhance the entertainment experience for families across Lithuania.“

The long-term partnership between Warner Bros. Discovery and Telia also includes access to discovery+ content, the iconic HBO library, Max Originals, and Warner Bros. Discovery linear channels including Discovery Channel, Discovery Science, TLC, ID, Animal Planet, Eurosport 1, and Eurosport 2.
