Viaplay Group’s Board of Directors has announced it’s rescheduling the publication of its Q3 2023 financial results amid potential recapitalisation of the Group and the potential sale of part of the business.The Stockholm-based streamer is in ongoing discussions with three of its largest shareholders, debt providers and bondholders.The results were due to be published tomorrow, Tuesday 24 October, and will now be published by Wednesday 29 November at the latest. The precise will be confirmed in due course.In July, Viaplay announced a new strategy that would focus on its core business in the Nordics and the Netherlands, and its Viaplay Select operations. Outside of these territories there are businesses in the Central Europe and the United States.The Group has already reduced its workforce by over 30% since July, as well as discontinuing a number of original productions and renegotiating a number of distribution partnerships.
