Warner Bros. Discovery ended the first quarter with a total of 97.6 million DTC subscribers to its streaming services HBO, HBO Max and discovery+.This, according to the company’s latest results, was 7 million more than in the same period last year.In Q1 alone, it gained 1.5 million global subs. In the US and Canada, the number of subs stood at 55.3 million in the first quarter, up from 53.4 million a year earlier, while ARPU fell slightly over the same period, from $10.83 to $10.82.Meanwhile, the number of international subs rose from 37.2 million to 42.3 million, with ARPU increasing from $3.28 to $3.48.Global ARPU grew from $7.39 to $7.48.DTC revenues in Q1 amounted to $2,455 million, down 1% on the same period last year, while adjusted EBITDA was $50 million, a $704 million year-on-year improvement.
