Christian Hug has been named as Senior Vice President for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at the international level for Warner Bros. Discovery.In the newly created position, Hug will report directly to Asif Sadiq, Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer, who is looking forward to collaborating with him: “Not only does Christian’s demonstrated expertise in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion field contribute to the implementation and advancement of our programs, but also his extensive experience in intercultural project management makes him the ideal candidate to lead our increasingly comprehensive Diversity, Equity & Inclusion planning and projects on the global stage.”Christian Hug will lead am international team from Warner Bros. Discovery’s office in Munich. The appointment follows a recent reorganisation aimed at enhancing focus on local employee-oriented initiatives with an expanded team.The 48-year-old has been with Warner Bros. Discovery since 2005. After holding leadership roles in HR, he served as VP LifeWorks & Inclusion from 2010, where he and his international team played a crucial role in developing an innovative corporate culture focused on inclusion and wellbeing. Since 2022, as VP DEI Workforce & Strategy on a global level, he has developed programs for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion training for top executives and implemented systemic data collection under the aspects of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.Christian Hug completed his studies at the London Metropolitan University, earning a Master’s in Human Resources Strategies. He has been a member of the Chartered Institute for Personnel & Development UK since 1999.
