Broadband TV News: Vivacom completes Telnet acquisition

Story from Broadband TV News:

United Group’s Vivacom has closed the acquisition of a 100% stake in Telnet, one of the leading providers of fixed services in Northern Bulgaria.

Commenting on the transaction, Vivacom’s CEO Nikolay Andreev said: “We are happy to welcome Telnet to our extended family. With the company’s team, we share one vision – providing innovative high-quality services, putting the customer first. I believe that together we can conquer new heights and continue to strengthen Vivacom’s strong position on the Bulgarian market”.

Telnet management’s added: “We are honored to join a company of Vivacom’s stature. This step will enable our existing customers to access an extremely rich variety of innovative products and services and an excellent customer experience for the whole family or business. Once again, we thank the entire Telnet team for their excellent work, without which this step would not have been possible”.

The transaction was approved by the Competition for the Protection of Competition (CPC) earlier this month. Broadband TV News notes that the decision has been criticised by A1 Bulgaria and Yettel Bulgaria.
