German media company High View plans to take over the pay-TV channels and video-on-demand service operated by Sony Pictures Entertainment Deutschland in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.The transaction has already been notified to the Austrian Federal Competition Authority. The Sony services have been outsourced to Fiction First GmbH based in Cologne, in which High View GmbH from Landshut intends to acquire 100% of the shares.According to the competition authority, Fiction First will in future distribute the TV channels AXN White (formerly Sony Channel) and AXN Black (formerly Sony AXN) as well as the SVOD service AXN+ (formerly Sony One) to platforms in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.High View operates a wide range of free-TV music channels under the Deluxe brand, pay-TV channels such as Gute Laune TV and Jukebox as well as FAST Channels.
