Broadband TV News: Eurosport extends US Open broadcast rights

Warner Bros. Discovery has agreed a new contact to broadcast the US Open in France.

The agreement with the United States Tennis Association was secured by rights broker IMG. It covers the complete Flushing Meadows tournament, which will be screened on all Eurosport platforms, Eurosport 1, Eurosport 2, the Eurosport app and Eurosport.fr.

Pierre Branco, General Manager Warner Bros. Discovery France, Benelux & Africa said the agreement underlined Eurosport France’s reputation as the home of so many of the biggest international tennis events on the calendar: “Eurosport is more than ever the tennis channel. For almost 25 years Eurosport has been bringing the most memorable moments in the history of the US Open. This new partnership allows us to continue to write the history of the US Grand Slam tournament through all our broadcast and digital channels, and to offer a complete experience with the unrivalled expertise of the group’s French and international talent.”

Coverage will start on August 28 and continue through until September 10.

Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 channels are available from Canal+, Bouygues Telecom and will launch shortly on Prime Video channels.
